2006! oh my god!


Well, initially this website was dedicated to India, but I decided that I might aswell keep it up as a general forum for photos and streams of consciousness, and all things Isabelle related. That way whoever whishes to be updated on what I am doing or have their say and make comments on my posts can do so via this website.

So the new year is upon us! 2006 already! cripes! Check out my christmas photos on the links opposite for a look at my brussels antics. Christmas was fabulous! Mum insisted on plying me with copious amounts of turkey due to the thinner body I brought back from India - I left behind 6 kilos! Christmas dinner was delicious and we kept eating it for 3 days. There was much laughter and drink and food to be had all around. My cousins came up from France with my grandmother and we enjoyed the usual crazieness that surrounds the O'Keeffe family on such occasions. Tonight will be the gathering of usual suspects at parties to bring int the new year old skool style in Brussels city center, and I look forward to that immensly. May 2006 bring you good f0rtune (as I have had) and good wishes to you all

Bienvenido a Barcelona

So I am officially settling in Barclelona. I have been here for over a week taking it really easy. I arrived Saturday 28th and went straight to a Barbeque held by an Ozzie/Kiwi/Spanish/Russian/Croatian consortium amongst others on the roof-top terrace of an apartment north of Barcelona. It was lovely to arrive just in time to a party. It was to celebrate the Feria de Abril celebrated in Andalucia mainly but here they have a massive sort of Fete Forraine with a ferris wheel, and loads of little stands with long tables and food and a stage with people dressed up in Flamenco outfits dancing to Flamenco music.So we all walked up to the Forum by the beach where the festival wes being held and danced the night away. We spend the weekend chilling infront of dvds the weather was overcast most of the week and then on Friday I went to meet a friend of sorchas for a drink and hooked up with Carla from work and her friends who where over from dublin for a week and we met up with Ian a friend from ...

Cos baby it ain't over til its over...

So my days in India are finally drawing to a close. It is strange being here in Goa becuase it is so different to the rest of India. It feels like these past two months happened oh so long ago. This blog has been such a handy tool in recording all my experiences, and especially in storing my photos. Hats off to technology. So we are still livin' it up here in Goa. We head down to Palolem on Saturday. I look forward to that cos it is meant to be one of the nicest white sandy beaches on the southern coast. Barna Update

So I realise it has been a while since I last updated this thing, not that anyone really reads this but just incase, i will update. I have just seen my two sisters and amro off at the bus to Girona after a lovely but all too short visit from them. They came for a week and I only saw them in the evenings because I was working. The three of them stayed in my place and I stayed at Rodri's. We went out lots with my new flatmates and their friends so it was great to finally get to know them. I have been attempting to settle into a routine now that I am working, but it has proved quite difficult due to the shift work system they have in Avis. As I a result I am a bit all over the place and never seem to know what day of the week it is. The only consolation is that the office is really well situated so that I cycle into work every day along the marina and I work right oppisite where Rodri works on the other side of the marina, in the World Trade Centre and we have beautiful views.
