Brighton Rocks (pun intended) and so do Jellied Eels

Well I am just back from a fabulous few days in London visiting my younger sister Stephanie. We even went on a day trip down to Brighton despite adverse weather conditions, in true O'Keeffe family style. I caught up with some friends in London did some shopping and took in a cool Andrew Loyd Webber musical "The Woman In White". Our day trip to Brighton was wonderful. We walked through the famous Laines with its quirky shops and down to the seafront on to the pier where we ate 99ers and went on the only available fairground there, a very bockety old fashiond ghost ride with cheap fluo decors but worthy of a few screams, much to the amusment of onlookers. Poor Steph didn't even get to finish her Ice-Cream,for as we reached the edge of the pier a giant white Sea-gull with a wingspan of about a metre, presumably a disgruntled extra from Hitchcock's The Birds, swooped down onto her head, grabbed the head of her ice-cream with his right claw, and fluttered on his merry way with a few feathers in its wake. It left Steph in shock and confusion and me and two spectators in convulsions of laughter! The cheeky beggar even had the nerve to come back for more and claw at her hair. Needless to say we belted out of there and continued our meander through the streets stopping off for the obligatory Cream Tea in a gorgeous little Restaurant/Cafe called Darcy's set in an old house with beautiful original decor. Fantastic!
