Jaipur Hilton


I am still in jaipur in the lovely hilton hotel overlooking the lake. Me and elodie had a gorgeous swim in the huge pool, it felt like i was on my summer holiday. Today we visited the spectacular Amber Fort just outside Jaipur and our guide Om (as in the meditation sound) took us around and explaind the history behind it all, Dad you would have loved this place!!! We didnt do the Elephant ride though because it was too full but we had cool fun in the Jeep instead, again Dad i thought of you when I was on it.

Last night we met up with Melissa and her new friend Ana from sweden and after the Ricksaw drive from hell yet again, we had a lovely dinner in the city center. It was a bit hectic coz of Eid but it was great to soak in the atmosphere. This evening we are going to do the lovely bazaars and get down and dirty with haggling and then meet up with Mel and Ana and have dinner at their hostel which is actually really posh.

Tomorrow we head for Agra and the Taj Mahal YEY!!!!!! So excited. After that we head back to delhi on Monday and stay with Christ and then probably travel around Rajastan a bit more with him. We are hoping to go to Pushnar where there is apparently this mad Camel festival that happens once a year and people come from all over. You can do meditaion and yoga sessions and its all very spiritual. Then we head down to Mumbai and Kerala and then back up to Goa, and on to Delhi and back home to Brussels. Thats the general idea so there you go. Have to go now cos the chauffer is pickin us up in 10 mins.

Oh my god, its so exciting! I just find it so insane that youre actually over there in the otherside of the world.. Very metaphysically confusing! Its so deadly to be able to follow what youre doing and fell like were participating in it in some tiny way. The photos are deadly, keep them coming! Sorry i didnt post til now but i havent been able to get to the internet. Our broadband at home should be up and running next week so ill be able to check more regularly. Maybe ill catch u on MSN if were lucky! Ok, have a WIKID time and stay in touch. Love to Elodie!

Bienvenido a Barcelona

So I am officially settling in Barclelona. I have been here for over a week taking it really easy. I arrived Saturday 28th and went straight to a Barbeque held by an Ozzie/Kiwi/Spanish/Russian/Croatian consortium amongst others on the roof-top terrace of an apartment north of Barcelona. It was lovely to arrive just in time to a party. It was to celebrate the Feria de Abril celebrated in Andalucia mainly but here they have a massive sort of Fete Forraine with a ferris wheel, and loads of little stands with long tables and food and a stage with people dressed up in Flamenco outfits dancing to Flamenco music.So we all walked up to the Forum by the beach where the festival wes being held and danced the night away. Cos baby it ain't over til its over...

So my days in India are finally drawing to a close. It is strange being here in Goa becuase it is so different to the rest of India. It feels like these past two months happened oh so long ago. This blog has been such a handy tool in recording all my experiences, and especially in storing my photos. Hats off to technology. So we are still livin' it up here in Goa. We head down to Palolem on Saturday. I look forward to that cos it is meant to be one of the nicest white sandy beaches on the southern coast. Barna Update

So I realise it has been a while since I last updated this thing, not that anyone really reads this but just incase, i will update. I have just seen my two sisters and amro off at the bus to Girona after a lovely but all too short visit from them. They came for a week and I only saw them in the evenings because I was working. The three of them stayed in my place and I stayed at Rodri's. We went out lots with my new flatmates and their friends so it was great to finally get to know them. I have been attempting to settle into a routine now that I am working, but it has proved quite difficult due to the shift work system they have in Avis. As I a result I am a bit all over the place and never seem to know what day of the week it is. The only consolation is that the office is really well situated so that I cycle into work every day along the marina and I work right oppisite where Rodri works on the other side of the marina, in the World Trade Centre and we have beautiful views.
